These two (by now) infamous maps of the displacement of both tenants and leaseholders off of the Heygate Estate, SE17 for the demolition and ‘regeneration’ scheme were produced from research by Southwark Notes & 35% Campaign.They superceded previous maps we had produced showing massive displacement from the Heygate Estate.
They were made to appear in print in the ‘Staying Put: An Anti-Gentrification Handbook for Council Estates in London’. ‘Staying Put’ handbook was produced in 2014 in a four-way collaboration with Just Space, London Tenants Federation, Loretta Lees and Southwark Notes.
Non-profit campaigns and writers can use the Heygate maps with the correct credit please! We allow commercial reproduction for a reasonable fee that goes to anti-gentrification campaigns.
